Track Description
Budd’s Creek is another pure MX track, natural terrain obstacles, off camber turns, and huge up and down hills. Right off the bat you’ll understand exactly what we mean by “Pure MX”, as the short start stretch ends with a high-speed downhill plunge. As you take the first left you head up one of the most famous hills in MX history “Henry Hill” (named after Doug Henry’s ill fated launch off the top in the nineties). Once safely down the other side you’ll approach the second in a series of uphill, downhill, off camber configurations. Promoter Jonathon Beasley reverses the track direction each year, so it’s pointless to give you a turn by turn description, but the track is comprised primarily of tabletops with the exception of a couple of step ups and two doubles. The soil here is absolutely perfect. Budd’s Creek is not only one of the most technically challenging tracks in the series; it’s also one of the most scenic.

Driving Directions
Option 1 from the North; turn left on Maryland Highway 5 South out of Waldorf, MD. Continue straight on Highway 5 for 16 miles to Maryland Highway 236. Turn right on to 236 for 6 miles until it ends at Maryland Highway 234. Turn right on to 234 and the track is 1/8th of a mile on the left. Please use caution for Amish carriages on 236.

Option 2 from the North, using U.S. Highway 301; turn left onto Maryland Highway 6 at LaPlata. Travel 8 miles to Trinity Church Road, turn right and travel 6 miles to the end of the road at Maryland Highway 234. Turn left and travel 1 mile, the track will be on the right. This is the least used and fastest way to get to highway 301 after the race.

From Points South, follow I-95, 30 miles North of Richmond to Route 207; turn right, this becomes U.S. Highway 301. Travel North 5 miles into Maryland, and turn right on Maryland Highway 234. The track is 10 miles on the right.

Misc
The promoters have been known to book dirt track events, as well as other misc. races to coincide with the GNC event. The racing may get loud and last well into the night, Dirt Track fans also have a tendency to wander the pits unsupervised late into the night, so guard your belongings.

Amish country is beautiful and right around the corner from the track, take the time to check it out, but be weary of the Amish carts while driving.
