Track Description
Glen Helen is what you can describe as a purist’s Motocross track, a 5th gear start stretch sends you rocketing towards the Talladega bowl turn, as the racers spread out you will soon find yourself at the elevator jump which launches you up “Shoei Hill” (the smallest of the three monster up hills) upon reaching the top you will make a hard right turn and launch down only to be greeted by the steepest of the three hills “Mt. St. Helen” which boasts an elevation of 2020 feet. As you approach the summit, a quick right turn sends you towards an equally impressive downhill. A few turns later you’re on your way back uphill, this time its “Yamaha Hill” (elevation 2060’), back down you’ll go as you reach the 130’ tabletop. A few, bowl turns, coupled with long wide-open straights, step-ups and tabletops later, and you’ve just completed your first lap. There are no Supercross style obstacles, just pure Motocross. The track surface is slick and hard packed, anything not packed down tends to get very marbley.
